Our Story
CALIMA Pet Wellness is born from Stefany’s extensive experience as a groomer in the Canary Islands, Spain, and her beginnings as a breeder of English Springer Spaniels, naming the first female of her litter, CALIMA, in honour of the land where she grew up.
CALIMA aims to blend the grooming techniques of Spain with the knowledge and expertise Stefany gained in California during 2024, and the knowledge of her partners and experience in the American market. This combination is designed to provide a comprehensive and specialized service for both canine and human clients.
CALIMA is a fine dust that consists of tiny particles of sand and dust carried by winds from the Sahara Desert that travels across seas to enrich distant lands. It symbolizes a fusion of the richness and quality of American soil with elements carried from another part of the world, blending cultures, traditions, and expertise to create something truly unique.
Stefany Zamora
A dog groomer with six years of experience in the industry, she provides compassionate grooming for all breeds and sizes. While she specializes in breed-specific cuts for English Springer Spaniels and English Cocker Spaniels, she is equally skilled in artisanal techniques, such as managing the cords of Spanish Water Dogs. Her expertise also includes the stripping technique for breeds like Schnauzers, Jack Russells, and wire-haired Dachshunds, ensuring each dog receives personalized and attentive care tailored to its unique needs. Stefany is fluent in Spanish.
Maritza Díaz
Has seven years of experience in dog grooming, where she’s learned the importance of patience, attention to detail, and understanding each dog’s unique temperament. Over time, she has developed a deep understanding of different coat types
and how to maintain them, ensuring that each dog looks its best and remains healthy. Maritza is fluent in Spanish.
Johnny Fossatto
With nine years of professional dog grooming experience, specializing in deshedding, handling large breeds, and providing gentle care for senior dogs. He also have experience with dog treats, making every pet’s visit enjoyable and stress-free.
